Restorative Justice an Introduction - Seattle Winter 2020

Restorative Justice 101.  This course builds the foundation of the philosophy of Restorative Justice.  We focus on understanding the principles of RJ and applying the practices of RJ to the classroom.

Weekly assigned readings are given 4 days before the scheduled conference call and are due for review during the conference call with course members. This call is an opportunity to review the assignment, ask questions, and discuss real-world implementation. Each phone session is facilitated by two experienced practitioners as well as guest instructors and youth participants.

Week 5 and week 10 incorporate our full day hands on workshop. In this setting, students will have a chance to practice new techniques, role-play real world scenarios, and network with other professionals in this exciting field.
