Restorative Justice an Introduction - Seattle Fall 2019


Restorative Justice 101.  This course builds the foundation of the philosophy of Restorative Justice.  We focus on understanding the principles of RJ and applying the practices of RJ to the classroom. This is a mixed methods course, blending online curriculum, webinars, and in-person training.

When you register you will be given access to our online platform. In this platform you will receive our assignments and access to our webinars. You will find both thought provoking readings and practical tools that you will take back with you to your setting.

Weekly assignments are provided a week before the scheduled conference call and are due for review during the conference call with course participants. This call is an opportunity to review the assignment, ask questions, and discuss real-world implementation. Each phone session is facilitated by two experienced practitioners as well as guest instructors and youth participants.  

Week 5 and week 10 incorporate our full day hands on workshop. In this setting, participant will have a chance to practice new techniques, role-play real world scenarios, and network with other professionals in this exciting field.
