Have you sat in a youth lead workshop lately?  Probably not... Take the risk and time to learn and hear from some of the best RJ Youth Leaders in the region.

The youth interns at the National Center for Restorative Justice are presenting a variety of workshops throughout the day. The will be talking, leading, and training about relationship building, conferencing, implementation strategies, conflict deep dive, youth/adult partnerships, RJ for drug/alcohol issues and more!

Our youth have spent the better part of a year working toward this conference, some interns have spent much longer. Interns are working toward becoming certified youth facilitators. They’re also working toward implementing in there own schools, they represent Bellevue SD, Issaquah SD, Highline SD, Federal Way PS, and Peninsula SD.

We look forward to having you with us for this amazing day of Restorative Justice learning.

NW Justice Forum, 15th Annual

This is the premier Restorative Justice event in the Northwest. This three state collaboration brings together the best in the community of Restorative Justice practitioners, educators, researchers, and facilitators. This is an expansive invite to those in juvenile justice, education, family, counseling, and community Restorative Justice. And this is the first time in a long time that it is after school ends so I hope we have a deep showing of educators.

RJ Youth Retreat

The premiere Restorative Justice Youth Event.

We are accepting teams of up to 3 students and 2 staff from High Schools in WA and OR. The Restorative Justice Youth Retreat is designed for teams from each school to learn from RJ Leaders and Youth leaders from around the region and to gain the skills to begin changing school culture.  Please read the description from last year here for more information

The retreat is a mix of youth lead workshops for youth and adults and professional staff lead conversations. National Center for Restorative Justice youth interns have spent at least a year training, preparing, and facilitating Restorative Justice. They have brought RJ to their schools and their personal lives with family and friends. There are opportunities to connect with nature as well as our fellows.

If you'd like to bring more staff or student participants select the number of additional registrations you'd like to receive.   While we feel the more the merrier, we do want to limit each school to a max of 8 participants to make room for other schools and keeping in mind group dynamics.

Some groups traveling from a greater distance find it easier to arrive the night before Sunday the Aug 4th. This provides groups coming from Easter WA and Oregon a chance to have a good nights sleep. This includes dinner at 6pm and breakfast. Please select the number of early arrival participants below.

We’re looking forward to another amazing retreat.

Two-Year Anniversary Party and Introduction of the Restorative Justice Foundation.

I am so happy to be telling our story of the last two years.  With our small team and youth interns we've done a surprising amount of work.

I have been fortunate to find partners who are committed to this work.  Since the founding the National Center for Restorative Justice we have been able to train tons of teachers, we have amazing youth interns, and have launched the first NW RJ Youth Conference.  In addition to many other achievements.

There are a couple announcements we will make during our event as well.  At the end of last year I was able to found the Restorative Justice Foundation.  This is the first announcement and invitation to support the funding of Restorative Justice in the region.

Finally, you will have a opportunity to hear from the founders of Cascade Schools (Charter).  The National Center for Restorative Justice will be partnering with them to support the implementation of RJ and see them through the opening of a new opportunity for the youth in the region.

You'll be treated to wine and heavy hors d'oeuvre... and amazing company.  If the weather is nice, we'll be on the roof so dress appropriately.
