Youth Internship

We have an exciting partnership with Big Picture Learning School across the Puget Sound region. We are an internship site for 5 Big Picture Schools Gibson Ek in Issaquah, Open Doors in Federal Way, Big Picture Highline, Big Picture Bellevue, and Henderson Bay in Gig Harbor. We are in the second year of as an internship. We have a few really clear opportunities for you to engage with youth and learn about Restorative Justice for your school and community. We are pleased to be regularly supported by Galvanize in Pioneer Square they are truly a fantastic organization.


Community Engagement

The youth interns participate alongside NC4RJ staff at a number of community events and training. They have been an important part of the RJ Forums. Presented in partnership with a number of local school districts and the Puget Sound ESD. They provide training and support for their own schools and communities. They are excited about joining your conference if you’re looking for a Restorative Justice youth perspective.


Youth Lead Conference

Have you sat in a youth lead workshop lately?  Probably not... Take the risk and time to learn and hear from some of the best RJ Youth Leaders in the region.  The interns of the National Center for Restorative Justice are presenting a variety of workshops throughout the day. They will be talking, leading, and training about relationship building, conferencing, implementation strategies, conflict deep dive, youth/adult partnerships, RJ for drug/alcohol issues and more!

Restorative Justice Summer Retreat

The premiere Restorative Justice Youth Event.

We are accepting teams of up to 3 students and 2 staff from High Schools in WA, ID, and OR. The Restorative Justice Youth Retreat is designed for teams from each school to learn from RJ Leaders and Youth leaders from around the region and to gain the skills to begin changing school culture.  Please read the description from last year here for more information
